Established in 2022 Under a Red Umbrella
Co-Founders and Artistic Directors, Connor Kopko and Annika Rudolph, met at the Atlantic Acting School in 2022. During their lunch breaks, Kopko and Rudolph would meet at the red umbrellas across the street from Chelsea Market and daydream about establishing a company with a powerful mission statement. Their inaugural production, Sonnez Les Matines, was produced in February 2023.
Rudolph is from Hampstead, Maryland. She has been seen on the national tour of Pinkalicious: the Musical (Alison/Dr. Wink) and the award-winning Voyeur: the Windows of Toulouse-Lautrec (Young Adele) and Chasing Andy Warhol (Jess) with Bated Breath Theatre Company, NYC. She has also worked regionally at Timber Lake Playhouse and was Ann Deever in Red Umbrella's production of All My Sons at Wayside Cottage. Rudolph trained in musical theatre at AMDA, earned her BFA from The New School’s Riggio Honors College, and was a Resident Artist Scholarship recipient at the Atlantic Acting School. Kopko grew up just across the river in New Jersey. Discovering his love of acting in musical theatre with The Sound of Music and Annie, Connor continually searches for ways to tell unique stories. Training with the Atlantic Acting School in New York City, his top credits include Chris Keller in Red Umbrella's production of All My Sons at Wayside Cottage, the tv series Welcome to Hope, Double Happiness (MOCA) and Jason in Archie's Weird Parody (Theatre Row.) |
